Sweating and Serving -Day Three and a bit of s soreness too!

Our team has begun each morning with breakfast followed by a team devotional and prayer. Then we walk over to Doulos Discovery School ready to serve for the day. Our team split up with half the group moving chairs and desks to classrooms while the other half of the group worked preparing the Gaga Pit for cement.

All week we’ve been working with a great staff member Miguel. Frisco Bible Church presented him with a much needed chainsaw. Here’s Miguel with his new gift. He was overjoyed!

Our team had a break for lunch and then it was back to work,  We really felt the heat today. We all made sure that we were staying hydrated. It’s mid week and this is when everyone can get tired,  weary and very sore. But all of us agreed that all that sweat and soreness is worth it in serving our missionaries. All of us have really enjoyed working together as the body of Christ. We’ve also enjoyed serving alongside the Sawyer’s & their children too!

After our day of work, we walked back to the house, cleaned up, had dinner then headed over to Doulos where we were treated to some fun learning authentic Dominican dances by some bog the Juniors & Seniors from the High School. We enjoyed some juice and dessert and met the kids. Some of our team shot some hoops on the basketball court. Then we headed back home for a good nights rest for our last work day.
